Studio - Print / export
When the CV reads well in the preview, download a PDF or print — and what to check so nothing embarrassing ships.
Export when the CV is reviewed and saved. Treat export as the last step—not a substitute for content review.
Prerequisites
- CV saved in the Studio editor.
- Content and formatting checked in the live preview.
Pre-export checklist
| Check | Action |
|---|---|
| Target role and CV title | Match the application |
| Contact details and links | Visible and correct |
| Summary | Read aloud for clarity |
| Included roles | Each supports the application |
| Weak bullets | Remove rather than shrinking font |
| Dates, locations, certifications | Consistent and accurate |
| Unsaved changes | Save before export |
Download PDF
- Open the CV in Studio.
- Choose Download PDF.
- If prompted, allow Alynd to save pending edits first.
- Open the downloaded file and verify layout, page breaks, links, and special characters.
Use print view (fallback)
If PDF generation fails or Alynd directs you to print view:
- Open the print-focused CV view.
- Open your browser print dialog.
- Choose Save as PDF where available.
- Set paper size (A4 or Letter for your market).
- Disable browser headers and footers if they appear.
- Enable background graphics if the template uses colour.
- Preview every page before saving.
Troubleshoot export issues
| Symptom | Try |
|---|---|
| Layout breaks or overflow | Hide a low-value section; try a more compact template |
| Missing recent edits | Confirm Saved in the editor, then export again |
| Session expired | Sign in again and retry |
| PDF tool fails | Use print view → Save as PDF |
