Not sure what Nexus, Studio, or a CV-specific edit means? This page explains the words you will see in Alynd, in plain language.
Core product
| Term | Definition |

| Alynd | The workspace application for career records, CVs, AI assistance, and live interview assistance. |
| Career record | Your saved professional history in Nexus: profile, work, education, professional items, skills, labels, files, and related detail. |
| Nexus | Area for maintaining the long-term career record (source of truth). |
| Studio | Area for creating and editing CV documents from Nexus content. |
| Lyra | Alynd's AI assistant for writing, review, tailoring, and preparation. |
| Interview / Interview Coach | Live interview assistance: meeting capture, job context, CV grounding, transcript input, and Lyra answer blocks (including the Reader). |
| Dashboard | Signed-in home showing analytics, career snapshot, and suggested next steps. |
Records and content
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Profile | Personal and professional identity: name, title, contact, summary, links, location, currency. |
| Work record | A saved role in Nexus Work experience. |
| Professional record | Certification, publication, award, grant, membership, licence, training item, or presentation outside work and education. |
| Academic year | A grouped year or stage within an education record (courses, skills, projects, etc.). |
| Label | Reusable category applied to skills for analytics and consistency. |
| Skill | Capability, tool, method, domain, or practice attached to a record. |
| Responsibility | Evidence line describing duty, action, or outcome (often used for CV bullets). |
| Project | Nested work item with its own detail when a role needs more than one bullet. |
Studio and documents

| Template | Studio CV layout and starting visual style. |
| CV-specific edit | Wording or visibility change on one Studio CV that does not change the underlying Nexus record. |
| Content panel | Studio editor area for selecting records and editing CV text. |
| Structure panel | Studio editor area for section order and visibility. |
| Design panel | Studio editor area for template selection. |
| Formatting panel | Studio editor area for dates, fonts, spacing, and bullet style. |
| Print view | Browser-oriented CV view for printing or Save as PDF when direct PDF export is unavailable. |
| Export | Downloading a CV PDF or account JSON from Settings. |
Import, AI, and status
| Term | Definition |

| Import | Reading a CV file or education URL to create draft records or preview detail. |
| Needs review | Indicator that imported or generated content should be verified before reliance. |
| Context (Lyra) | Workspace mode (Nexus, Studio, Interview, General) that scopes Lyra's focus. |
| Action (Lyra) | Reviewed suggestion that can apply a change to Studio or Nexus when you confirm. |
| Job spec | Role description text used in Interview context. |
| Transcript | Typed or captured question text used to generate Interview answers. |
Account

| Security (Settings) | Tab for password, account export, and account deletion. |

| Account export | JSON download of profile, records, CVs, labels, and settings (filenames only for uploads). |
