Getting started
Create your account, bring in a CV if you have one, and learn what to check first so your career record is ready to use.
By the end of this guide you will have a working account and know whether to start in Nexus (review an import) or Studio (your first CV). Allow about 10–15 minutes if you import a CV and review the results.
Prerequisites
- A valid email address you can access for registration and password reset.
- Optional: a recent CV in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format (up to 10 MB).
Step 1: Create your account
- On the Alynd public site, choose Get started.
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- Confirm the password (must match; at least eight characters).
- Submit the form.
After registration, Alynd opens the CV import step. You can upload a file now or skip to Nexus.
Step 2: Import a CV (recommended if you have one)
- Upload a PDF, DOC, or DOCX file (up to 10 MB).
- Wait for processing to finish.
- Review the import summary, then continue into your career portfolio.
Alynd extracts roles, companies, dates, skills, education, certifications, achievements, and profile details where it can. Treat the result as a draft: some fields may be incomplete or marked for review.
Verify: Open Nexus → Work experience and confirm at least your most recent role has a sensible title, company, and start date.
Step 2 (alternative): Skip import
- Choose to skip the CV upload.
- Alynd opens an empty Nexus workspace.
Recommended manual order:
- Profile — name, title, contact, summary, location, links, currency.
- Work experience — your most recent role with responsibilities and skills.
- Education and professional records when they matter for your target roles.
You do not need a complete Nexus record before creating a first Studio CV.
Step 3: Sign in on return visits
- Choose Log in from the public site or registration footer.
- Enter your email and password.
- On success, Alynd opens the Dashboard.
Forgot password: On the sign-in form, choose Forgot password, enter your email, and follow the reset link in your inbox.
Step 4: Decide what to do after first sign-in
If you imported a CV
Open Nexus and review each imported work record. Check:
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Dates and current-role status | Drives career span and timeline views |
| Job titles and companies | Appear on every future CV |
| Responsibilities | Generic lines weaken Studio and Lyra output |
| Skills and labels | Powers Dashboard analytics and tailoring |
| Needs review markers | Imported content you should verify before relying on it |
| Education vs professional placement | Wrong section makes CVs look inconsistent |
If you skipped import
Add enough Nexus detail for one target application, then open Studio and create your first CV.
