Nexus - Work experience

Add each job once with full detail here; pick and tailor what appears on each CV later in Studio.

Work experience is the most important Nexus area for most users. Each role should be accurate enough to trust and detailed enough to reuse across CVs.

Open Work experience from Nexus, or choose Nexus in the sidebar to land there directly.

Add a new role

  1. Choose Add record.
  2. Enter job title, company, and start date (required).
  3. Mark the role as current, or enter an end date if it has ended.
  4. Add seniority, industry, location, and employment type where relevant.
  5. Add responsibilities, skills, and optional projects, files, or references.
  6. Save the record.

Verify: The role appears in the list with correct dates; Dashboard career span updates after save.

Details vs Timeline views

DetailsEditing one record; skills, labels, review status, import indicators
TimelineSpotting gaps, overlaps, or incorrect chronology

If Alynd suggests filling a gap, decide whether that period should be a recorded role before adding placeholder data.

Write strong responsibilities

Write one idea per line. Prefer specifics over generic duties:

GenericStronger
Managed stakeholdersLed weekly steering meetings with product, engineering, and operations leads to unblock delivery decisions.
Improved reportingRebuilt monthly reporting workflow, reducing manual spreadsheet work and improving visibility of delivery risks.
Worked on migrationCoordinated migration planning, testing, and rollout across legacy and replacement systems.

Do not invent metrics. If you know a number, include it; if not, describe scope and outcome honestly.

Skills and labels

Add skills that genuinely belong to the role. Apply labels when you want Dashboard grouping and clearer tailoring themes—for example Product, Delivery, Data, or Leadership.

Projects, files, and references

FeatureWhen to use it
ProjectsWork that needs more context than one responsibility line
FilesRole descriptions, briefs, appraisals, samples (after the record is saved)
ReferencesContact details you are comfortable storing with the role

Review imported roles

Imported roles may show Needs review. Before relying on them in Studio:

  1. Confirm title, company, dates, and current-role status.
  2. Replace generic responsibilities with specific evidence.
  3. Deduplicate or refine skills.
  4. Add seniority, industry, salary, projects, or files if missing.
  5. Save the record.

Salary and currency

Salary is a numeric field; the currency symbol comes from Profile.

Delete a role

Deletion is permanent. Check whether the role is selected on any Studio CVs before deleting—the Nexus record is removed from the pool of available content.
