Nexus - Labels
Tag skills with shared categories (for example Product or Data) so your Dashboard charts stay useful and tailoring stays focused.
Labels are reusable categories attached to skills. They keep Dashboard analytics meaningful and help Lyra understand themes in your background.
Example: "roadmapping", "discovery", and "prioritisation" might share a Product label; "SQL", "Power BI", and "forecasting" might share Data.
Create and save labels
- Open Nexus → Labels.
- Type a label name and press Enter to add it.
- Remove labels you no longer need.
- Choose Save.
Saving trims whitespace, ignores empty entries, and removes duplicates. Use reset if you want to discard unsaved edits.
Apply labels to skills
Creating a label does not tag existing skills automatically.
- Open a work record in Work experience.
- Assign labels to each skill where the category fits.
- Save the record.
The same skill name can carry different labels in different roles when the emphasis differs.
Starter label set
| Label | Typical skills |
|---|---|
| Leadership | People management, coaching, hiring |
| Product | Discovery, roadmaps, prioritisation |
| Delivery | Agile, release planning, risk |
| Engineering | Architecture, implementation, DevOps |
| Data | Analysis, modelling, BI tools |
| Design | UX, research, prototyping |
| Compliance | Regulatory, audit, policy |
Adjust as your record grows; avoid near-duplicates unless they mean different things.
Use labels in analytics and tailoring
| Area | How labels help |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Skill-label chart; highlights unlabeled skills |
| Studio / Lyra | Clearer themes when tailoring wording |
If most skills show as Unlabeled, label your highest-impact skills first.
